Arrests Made at Troubled Property on Reynolds Drive

The authorities identified the two residents as key suspects in an ongoing investigation into cocaine distribution associated with this property.

Two individuals from the area were apprehended for their involvement in the sale of cocaine at a location notorious for various issues. The Vermont State Police Drug Task Force collaborated with the Brattleboro Police Department on a search operation at the address, 6 Reynolds Dr., on Monday morning.

The authorities identified the two residents as key suspects in an ongoing investigation into cocaine distribution associated with this property. Courtney Stone, a 38-year-old from Brattleboro, faces multiple charges including sale of cocaine, two counts of conspiracy, and allowing drug sales within her residence. Following her arrest, she was remanded on a $25,000 bail. Alexis Montoya, age 31, also from Brattleboro, was charged with selling cocaine and is being held on a $5,000 bail.

Local community members have continuously raised concerns regarding safety and health issues at 6 Reynolds Dr. In response, the town has sought legal authority to prohibit occupancy in the premises. Documentation submitted to the court highlighted several alarming findings, such as exposed areas in the basement that lack proper sealing and evidence of a sewer leak. Additional problems included broken windows facilitating moisture intrusion and issues with the building’s interior moisture barriers.

An inspection commissioned by town officials advised against occupancy until significant repairs are implemented. Given the structural concerns, the Brattleboro Fire Department labeled the building as “No Entry” for safety reasons. Firefighters indicated they would employ external measures in the event of an emergency unless it was confirmed that individuals were inside.

Authorities encouraged anyone with further information pertaining to this case to reach out to the Vermont State Police at 802-722-4600 or submit anonymous tips through their online portal.
