Keene police said Thursday that Jade Galford, 22, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault after an infant known to her was allegedly hurt.

The investigation began after the N.H. Division for Children, Youth and Families alerted police that a baby younger than 1 year old had been taken to a hospital with injuries that raised concern. Investigators said the child had several fractures in different stages of healing.
