Upcoming Mental Health Clinic Launches in Keene

The clinic will have around 20 beds available for individuals seeking treatment for a variety of mental health issues.

A new mental health clinic is set to open in Keene next month, marking the first inpatient facility for Live Free Recovery Services. Located at 881 Marlboro Road, the clinic will have around 20 beds available for individuals seeking treatment for a variety of mental health issues, such as anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, and eating disorders.

The organization, which primarily focuses on addiction recovery, is expanding its services to include mental health treatment, welcoming anyone in need regardless of their substance use history. Live Free Recovery Services operates several centers in both Keene and Manchester, and the Marlboro Road location also features a medical detox and inpatient rehab center.

As highlighted by a health policy research group, KFF, a significant number of residents in New Hampshire lack access to mental health specialists, with approximately 135,000 living in communities with insufficient resources in December 2025. Additionally, the National Alliance on Mental Illness reports that around 259,000 adults in the state reported experiencing mental health conditions within the last year.

In planning the inpatient program over the past six months, the organization aims to cater to military veterans as well as professionals facing mental health challenges. The treatment duration is designed to range from 30 to 45 days, adapted to meet the needs of each patient and will be covered by insurance.

Therapeutic methods at the clinic will include cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, alongside individual and holistic approaches. There are also plans for incorporating adventure-based activities, such as hiking and equine therapy, to enhance the treatment experience.

While the program is accessible to those stable enough to benefit from it, individuals with acute mental health needs are advised to seek emergency help by calling 911 or visiting a hospital emergency room. An open house event is scheduled for June 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering interested individuals a chance to learn more about the new facility. For further inquiries regarding treatment options, prospective patients can contact the clinic at 888-527-1508 or visit their website.
