DES said the contamination appears to be linked to wildlife rather than the sewage leak reported out of Haverhill.
North Hampton State Park Beach is under an advisory after state testing turned up elevated bacteria levels in the water. The Department of Environmental Services said a second round of sampling, taken Friday, showed a limited exceedance at the same location.
A test from Thursday found the same problem in that area as well. Despite the advisory, the beach is still open to visitors.
