A man with outstanding warrants for multiple sexual offenses in New Hampshire has been taken into custody by law enforcement officials in Vermont. Lance Simons, aged 55, was apprehended on Thursday afternoon by Vermont State Police in collaboration with the Claremont Police Department on Gore Road in Morgan.
Simons faces a series of serious charges, including 12 counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault and two counts of felonious sexual assault. Additionally, he is charged with six counts related to an aggravated felonious sexual assault pattern, among other offenses.
Currently, Simons is being held on bail set at $50,000. He is scheduled to make an appearance in Orleans County Superior Court on Friday.
