Veterans in Vermont and New Hampshire are slated to get two additional VA outpatient clinics, with both locations expected to begin serving patients in the spring of 2029.
One of the new facilities will be built in South Burlington and will take the place of the current Burlington clinic. The other will be located in West Chesterfield, New Hampshire. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders announced the plans.
The South Burlington site is expected to be about twice the size of the existing Burlington clinic. Until the new centers open, VA outpatient services in Vermont are available in Bennington, Brattleboro, Burlington, Newport and Rutland, along with the main VA Medical Center in White River Junction.
