Burlington police say a confrontation in the city’s downtown area on Saturday ended with two arrests after a man was injured in a knife attack.
Investigators said Tylor Sears, 35, and Shawntaya Miles, 24, brought a homeless man to St. Paul Street and took $80 from him before the situation turned violent. Police said the victim and Sears got into a physical struggle, during which Sears used a knife and sliced the man’s face.
Authorities said both suspects ran off after the incident but were later taken into custody. Burlington police also said Sears has 25 previous convictions.
