A Vernon resident accused in a violent domestic attack is being held without bail while his case moves forward in Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division.
Timothy D. Forrett, 43, was arraigned earlier this month and is now waiting for a weight of the evidence hearing set for Tuesday.
According to an affidavit, Windham County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called on Sept. 12 to investigate a reported assault. When they saw the victim, they noted red marks, swelling and possible abrasions, including injuries on her neck.
The affidavit says Forrett is accused of forcing the victim to the ground, striking her head against drywall and the floor, and tossing her into a floor, couch and wicker basket. It also says he allegedly choked her until breathing became difficult, used insulting language and threatened to kill her.
